The hotel is located in Funchal at walking distance from the seaside promenade with an excelent location with restaurants and bars nearby. It offers an outdoor pool with children area, and an indoor pool with fitness centre, hot tub and even massage treatments at an extra charge.
Self-catering studios all open out on to a private balcony and include a satellite TV. The well-equipped kitchen comes with microwave and cooking utensils. En-suite bathrooms are standard.

According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
- Cleaning during the stay is carried out daily, as well as changing clothes and towels.

On September 26th, please arrive at Madeira Sea Emotions by 3:30 PM for the whale watching tour, which begins at 4:00 PM. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a towel, and swimwear. The tour costs €49.50 per person, payable on-site. In some rare instances, you may have the chance to swim with dolphins, depending on the species encountered. If this option is available, an additional €15 fee will apply, payable directly to the provider.

Beach day options:
1. Praia Formosa (Funchal)Located near the capital city, Funchal, Praia Formosa is the largest public beach on the island. It has a mix of black sand and pebbles and offers great facilities, including cafes, restaurants, and showers. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Tip: there are two parkings. The parking on the right side if looking to the ocean is paid and to the left is for free!
One of the few man-made sandy beaches on Madeira, Calheta Beach is located on the southwest coast. Golden sand was imported from Morocco and mainland Portugal, creating a beautiful setting for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. There are nearby restaurants and a marina.
Doca do Cavacas, near Praia Formosa, is famous for its natural lava pools, offering a beautiful and unique swimming experience. These natural pools are replenished by the ocean, with the added bonus of stunning views of Cabo Girão. There are also steps for easier sea access if you prefer swimming in the open ocean.
Machico, on the eastern side of the island, offers another golden sand beach. Like Calheta, its sand was imported, creating a pleasant beach with calm waters, ideal for families. It's well-serviced with cafes, restaurants, and a beautiful promenade.
Seixal Beach is a stunning black sand beach located on the north coast near the village of Seixal. It offers a striking contrast between the dark sand and the surrounding lush green cliffs. The waters here are calmer compared to other northern beaches, making it a beautiful spot for a relaxed swim.
6. Natural Pools of Porto Moniz
While not a beach in the traditional sense, the natural lava rock pools in Porto Moniz are one of Madeira's most unique experiences. The seawater pools are naturally replenished by the ocean tides and offer a safe and beautiful place to swim.
Tucked away on the eastern side of the island, Prainha is a small natural black sand beach. It's quieter and more secluded than some of the larger beaches, providing a more intimate setting surrounded by volcanic cliffs

Watch Mountain Sunrise Pico do Arieiro. Warning! Hike is closed due to wildfires past summer. Keep in mind that you have to park the car a bit down the hill. You can walk up the hill to watch the sunrise. This is about a 20 minute walk to the top.
