A guesthouse in the heart of the village and historic area of Porto da Cruz, Madeira, underwent a complete renovation in 2020 to provide comfortable and safe accommodations in a centenary house.

The terrace's rehabilitation has transformed it into the highlight of the property. It features a sunbathing solarium, a refreshing shower, and an outdoor barbecue for meals. Nestled in the exotic northeast of Madeira Island, it provides 360º views of the sea and mountains surrounding the village.

The lower floor houses a fully equipped kitchen and a living room in a single space for meals or relaxation on the sofa. A complete bathroom is also on this floor, shared with all guests.

There are 5 rooms with full bathrooms - two with a double bed (queen size) and the other two with two single beds, which can be joined to create a double bed, one room with a bunk bed for 2 persons and a bathroom.

PORTO DA CRUZ
The village of Porto da Cruz is located on the northern coast of Madeira Island, between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches of Porto da Cruz are especially suitable for beginner surfers as they are the only ones with volcanic black sand with surfable waves.

Porto da Cruz still preserves its traditions, with a relaxed lifestyle and a very hospitable local culture.

In the area, there are several restaurants where you can taste the regional gastronomy, such as fresh fish, seafood and other traditional Madeiran dishes, as well as wines and spirits.

The village does not have a very busy nightlife like other surfing destinations in Portugal, however if you are looking for a closer contact with nature and a relaxed lifestyle then this is your place to go!

The property is surrounded by banana plantations, vineyards, and it is only 15 km from the International Airport and 30 km from the centre of Funchal. The beach and all the necessary services are just a few meters from the Surf Camp.

Being located in a rural area, there are several outdoor activities that you can do, such as canyoning, track running, mountain biking, paragliding, fishing, karting, among others.

If you wish to travel to Funchal, we can arrange private transport to other areas of the island for an additional charge.

According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).

Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.

All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

Cleaning during the stay is carried out weekly, as well as changing clothes, towels and consumables. If you want extra cleaning, the service will be charged separately at an affordable price. For stays of less than seven nights, weekly cleaning or changing clothes and replacing consumables will not be carried out.
